Over the last year, we have continued to provide advice and support to Vietnamese and Chinese people across West London.

We have improved access and reduced inequalities for Chinese and Vietnamese communities by delivering ESOL classes that enable learners to improve their communication skills in written and oral English. 130 people attended classes last year.

Service users have learned work related skills, including business skills, IT and administration skills. They also gained skills to search and access mainstream employment opportunities. As a result, 9 people have entered employment.

Learners were better able to identify their own education and training needs and consider the options available to them. They reported improved motivation and aspirations in relation to training and employment prospects. Consequently, 58 people went on to training and further education.

Through the Elderly Project, we have provided health guidance to 81 people, and general advice and guidance to 56. On average, the Luncheon Club has continued to attract about 30 to 40 people each session every week.
